What I'm Good At

career advice for young teenagers

Here are some things I'm great at. They're just things I like doing. What's important is that they don't matter in the slightest how society views these qualities, because every talent is valuable.

Identifying hard skills

It is helpful to check for achievements and qualifications in order to identify hard skill. This will allow you to see which skills are your best. If you're not sure, you can ask professionals from your industry for advice. To find out what skills you are lacking, you can ask your classmates, friends, or colleagues for feedback.

There are two types: soft and hard skills. Hard skills are those which demonstrate technical competence, such using a POS system. Soft skills, however, are more complex and less clearly defined. For example, a salesperson might struggle to explain his job duties to colleagues who don't have any experience in the field.

Identify your passions

Examining your hobbies is the first step to identifying what passions you have. It's important to note what you do when you get back from work and what you do when you return. Also, take note of what you look forward to doing outside of work. Take note of how much your time and finances are consumed by these activities. You can create a vision for your passions once you have identified them.

Your passions are an important part in developing your career. It's essential to match your skills with your passions and abilities in order to make meaningful contributions to your community. For example, you might enjoy painting, photography, or playing music. These hobbies are not necessarily related to your job, but they could provide you with incredible experiences and opportunities.

Identifying your natural talent

You may find it easier to recognize your natural talent than you think. You may have already identified your strengths if you've been in the workforce for a while. They likely stem from unique characteristics and gifts. Therefore it is useful to go through your past experiences and assess your current knowledge. Once you identify your natural talent, you can focus on finding a job to nurture it.

Your natural talents could include singing or public speaking. Some talents may require practice to improve. These activities can be done in your car, or during your lunch break. You must give your time and talent the attention it deserves. It will determine whether or not it is successful.
